What comes with the cars you sell?
Our cars come with a safety certificate (often called a roadworthy or RWC), a clear title and a clean PPSR check, which means no finance owing and not recorded as stolen. Warranty is available too, so ask us about it for the car you like. For any car, ask us about its service history, log books and keys.
Can I test drive a car?
Yes. Test drives are by arrangement. Send us a message about the car you'd like to drive, using the form on its page or on our Contact page, and we'll organise a time that suits you. Please bring your driver licence.
Do you take trade-ins?
Yes, trade-ins are welcome. Send us the year, make, model and kilometres, and tell us about its condition, including any damage or faults, and any finance owing. We'll come back to you. Any figure we give is subject to inspection, so it depends on seeing the car in person.
Is finance available?
Yes, finance is available. Ask us about it when you get in touch about a car. Asking us about finance is an enquiry, not a credit application, and any loan is up to the lender to approve. You're also welcome to use your own lender.
Do your cars come with a warranty?
In Queensland, most used cars sold by a licensed motor dealer come with a statutory warranty at no extra cost: - Class A (under 160,000 km and built no more than 10 years before the sale): 3 months or 5,000 km, whichever comes first. - Class B (160,000 km or more, or built more than 10 years before the sale): 1 month or 1,000 km, whichever comes first. Some vehicles, such as commercial vehicles and motorcycles, don't have one. We also have warranty available on top of this, so ask us about it.
How does buying a car from you work?
1. Find a car on our stock page and send us a message about it. 2. We'll check it's still available and organise a time for you to see and drive it. 3. If it's the right car, we'll go through the price, the paperwork and how you'd like to pay, including any trade-in or finance. 4. Read the paperwork before you sign. It sets out the price and, where they apply, your cooling-off and warranty rights.
Is a car on this website still available?
If a car is on our stock page, it's for sale. Cars can sell quickly, so send us a message to check before you travel to see one.
What's the difference between drive-away and excluding government charges?
A drive-away price includes everything you need to pay to drive the car away, including government charges. A price excluding government charges leaves those out. In Queensland, the government charges on a registered used car are mainly the registration transfer fee and vehicle registration duty (often called stamp duty). The car's registration, which includes compulsory third party (CTP) insurance, transfers to you with it. Either way, the price must include any fees the dealer charges. Ask us for the drive-away figure for any car.
Can I use my own finance or pre-approval?
Yes. If you have a pre-approval from your bank or lender, tell us when you get in touch. Once you've chosen a car, we'll give your lender the details it needs, such as the car's VIN and price. A pre-approval isn't a final approval: your lender still has to approve the loan for the car you choose.
How can I check a car's history myself?
Use the car's VIN, which is on each car's page on this website. - Search it on the Personal Property Securities Register at ppsr.gov.au. A search costs $2 and shows whether money is owed on the car and whether it's recorded as written off or stolen. - Search it at vehiclerecalls.gov.au, the Australian Government's recall website, for any open safety recall. Ask us about the service history too.
Can I trade in a car that still has finance owing?
Tell us about it in your message: who the loan is with and roughly how much is owing. We'll talk it through with you. It helps to ask your lender for a payout letter, which shows exactly how much is needed to pay the loan off.
What are my rights when I buy a used car from a dealer?
The consumer guarantees in the Australian Consumer Law apply. The car must be of acceptable quality, judged by things like its age, kilometres and price, match its description, and be fit for any purpose you told us about. You're also entitled to clear title, with no money owing to anyone else. These rights apply on top of any warranty, and no contract or sign can take them away. The ACCC explains them at accc.gov.au.
